The military significance of a lantern is, that it is designed & safety-tested to operate using all types of liquid fuels. BriteLyt lanterns run on a variety of fuels...kerosene, diesel, gasoline, White Gas,Biodiesel, mineral spirits, charcoal lighter fluid, lamp oils,Coleman fuel, etc.)

PREFERRED BY MILITARYdue to it’s ability to use not only gasoline, standard lantern & stove fuels,White Gas,but can also use JP5, JP8, diesel, & other liquid, volatile fuels.

If you buying a copy of the BriteLyt Lantern & Stove (patent pending), then you’re not buying a true MULTI-FUEL product.

BriteLyt lanterns are A MUST for natural disaster preparedness (I.e. hurricane, earthquakes, ice storms, and Other natural disasters, or just for Homeland Security purposes).

FAQS:  (REFLECTORS & PLATINGS)

BriteLyt, Inc. was the FIRST to offer the 500CP lantern in brass, with POLISHED BRASS finish. (Multi-Fuel)

BriteLyt, Inc. was the FIRST to manufacture the Top Reflector of solid brass, with a various choice of platings, and polished brass.
 
BriteLyt, Inc. was the FIRST to manufacture the Side Reflector of solid brass, with a various choice of platings, and polished brass.  This design was developed from the old model (steel, chrome plated model), of the ORIGINAL STEEL DESIGN. 

BriteLyt, Inc. was the FIRST to manufacture the 150CP brass, with MATTE FINISH lantern.

The German  Distributor (Heinze, GmbH), manufactured top reflectors of CHROME PLATED STEEL.  Their side reflectors were bent pieces of stainless metal, which clamped to the frame.  

Heinze, GmbH, manufactured a top reflector that looked like brass; however, it was actually steel, with gold plating, on top of chrome plating.   If you polished this, you would see the polishing underneath.  Many were returned, due to this.
